MATERIAL

* SWS uses SAE-52100 vacuum degassed, high carbon, chromium bearing steel as its

standard material for the precision bearing rings and balls. SWS also can furnish, if the application

warrants; stainless steel, ground carbon steel or unground carbon steel. Please inquire with a

salesman for availability.

* For retainers, SWS uses cold rolled carbon steel for its standard product. Stainless steel, nylons,

bronze, brass or phenolic are also available for those more specialized applications.

* SWS uses carbon steel as the standard for all its bearing shields. Stainless steel may also be

available for special applications. Please inquire.

* Bearing seals are normally manufactured out of Buna-Nitrile, a form of rubber. Other materials

such as Teflon are available for special applications.
